When on set, we often have the need to look directly at strong sources of light, which can cause irreparable harm to your eyes. The viewing filter works just like an ND filter to protect your eyes by reducing the amount of light to help you determine the position of the lights or sun.

The NiSi Viewing filters are made of aviation-grade aluminum, with easy to replace, removable glass. The back has a silicone eyecup to stop light leaks.

The 10 Stop IRND Viewing filter uses NiSi’s nano-coating technology to stop UV and IR light while reducing visible light.

Evelyn Z. ★★★★★

Finally, I can safely check the exact intensity of HMI and LED fixtures without that anxious squint. The glass feels dense and well-made, and it cuts exactly 10 stops as promised, making lighting setups much smoother.

Olivia ★★★★★

I was tired of squinting during lighting setups, and this filter lets me check sources safely without that harsh glare. The 10-stop density makes even a 500-watt bulb look dim as a candle, which is exactly what I needed on set.

Adam ★★★★★

Finally, a viewing filter that lets me stare straight at a 2K HMI without flinching—the 10-stop darkening is just right for judging a light's falloff on set. I've used it for a full afternoon and my eyes feel totally fresh afterward, which is exactly what I needed.
