The knurled sides make this ring seriously easy to twist on and off, even with cold fingers out in the field. It's solid brass so it threads onto my 58mm lens without any play, and it's let me swap in my 72mm filters without a fuss.

Finally got this to mount my 72mm CPL on a 58mm lens, and the brass threading feels much smoother than the aluminum rings I've used before. The knurled grip is a nice touch for tightening without tools. Slightly pricier than plastic versions, but worth it for the solid fit.
