This filter does exactly what I need on set—the 1/8 mist is subtle but noticeably smooths skin tones without wiping out all the detail in my highlights. I’ve been using it for interview work and the diffusion looks natural, not hazy.

Finally, a filter that takes the edge off digital sharpness without making the whole image look like it’s underwater—the highlight roll-off is really pleasing. I just wish it came in a slightly thinner mount for matte boxes with tight clearance, but it’s a solid buy.
